Formation NCECA’s 59th Annual Conference

Led by Kate Lydon and Judy Barie with curatorial support by NCECA Exhibitions Director Adam Chau and Utah ceramic artists Dara Hartman, Horacio Rodriguez, and Antra Sinha

The 2025 NCECA Collectors Tour promises an exciting week of experiences specially curated for avid collectors of ceramic art. The itinerary offers insider opportunities to collect from dozens of exhibitions throughout the region during Formation, the 59th annual NCECA conference. Exclusive studio and collection visits, curator and creative community connections, and shared meals will be threaded throughout the week. (Two dinners and four lunches are included.) 

Avid, emerging to experienced collectors of ceramic art will be interested in taking part in the 2025 NCECA Collectors Tour. This promises to be an exciting week of specially curated experiences, led by Kate Lydon with Judy Barie and curated by Utah-based ceramic artists Dara Hartman, Horacio Rodriguez and Antra Sinha.

Commencing with a full day of studio and exhibitions that begin Monday morning, March 24, 2025, and an opening dinner on Monday evening, the itinerary encompasses studio, collection, curator, and exhibition visits through Thursday, March 27, with ample time to explore conference programming and showcases for ceramic art within and surrounding the Calvin L. Rampton Salt Palace Convention Center from Thursday-Saturday afternoon. 

Registration will be limited to no more than 30 people. Participants will gain early access to thoughtfully selected exhibitions and enjoy purchasing opportunities while sharing meals, conversations, and thought-provoking presentations with an evolving daily line-up of dynamic, informed, and engaging special guests. Travel throughout the region will be provided to most locations via luxury motorcoach. Smaller vehicles may be used to reach special destinations.

Every minute of the tour will foster relationships around shared passions, opening new insights into ceramic art’s evolution and the work and people involved in its exhibition, creation, and appreciation.
