Chanakarn Semachai (Punch), Controlling Their Dreams, 2021

2025 NCECA Emerging Artist Fellowships

Applications AND Recommender responses must be submitted by Thursday, September 5, 2024 (11:59pm Eastern time zone).

Six Emerging Artists will be selected for the 2025 cohort through a review of statements, images, and support documents submitted for consideration. Emerging Artists will receive a $3,300 fellowship award and be featured prominently in NCECA programming, social media, and publications.

11th Annual NCECA Multicultural Fellowships

Applications AND Recommender responses must be submitted by Thursday, September 19, 2024 (11:59pm Eastern time zone).

Up to 20 fellowships will be awarded to first-time conference participants whose cultural identities have been historically underrepresented in NCECA and the field at large. This opportunity supports travel and other expenses related to participation in the upcoming annual NCECA conference.

21st Annual NCECA Graduate Student Fellowships

Applications AND Recommender responses must be submitted by Thursday, September 19, 2024 (11:59pm Eastern time zone).

Up to three $2,000 fellowships will be awarded to current NCECA Student Members who are full-time graduate students matriculated in a degree program at an accredited college, university, or art institute in the US at the time of the application deadline.

26th Annual Regina Brown Undergraduate Student Fellowship

Applications AND Recommender responses must be submitted by Thursday, September 19, 2024 (11:59pm Eastern time zone).

Up to three $2,000 fellowships will be awarded to current NCECA Student Members who are full-time, part-time undergraduate, or post-baccalaureate students enrolled at an accredited college, university, or art institute in the U.S. at the time of the application deadline.

6th Annual Helene Zucker Seeman Fellowships for Women

Applications AND Recommender responses must be submitted by Thursday, September 19, 2024 (11:59pm Eastern time zone).

Up to two $2,500 fellowships will be awarded to female-identifying candidates: one to a 2025 Emerging Artist and one to an applicant engaged with curatorial, research, and/or critical writing. (“Women” and “female” are terms inclusive of trans and cis women as well as genderqueer and non-binary individuals.)

3rd Annual NCECA Environmental Sustainability Fellowship

Applications AND Recommender responses must be submitted by Thursday, September 19, 2024 (11:59pm Eastern time zone)

One proposal will be selected to receive a $2,000 fellowship. The purpose of the NCECA Environmental Sustainability Fellowship is to advance environmental sustainability and green practices in ceramics through research, writing, and/or action.

2nd Annual Anne W. & Bill Bracker Youth Educator Seed Fellowship

Applications AND Recommender responses must be submitted by Thursday, September 19, 2024 (11:59pm Eastern time zone).

One proposal will be selected to receive a $2,000 fellowship. The purpose of the NCECA Youth Educators Seed Fellowship is to advance innovation and expand access to opportunities for projects and programs that engage youth ages 2–18 in creative work with clay.

1st Annual NCECA International Creative Research Fellowship

Applications AND Recommender responses must be submitted by Thursday, October 3, 2024 (11:59pm Eastern time zone).

One proposal will be selected to receive a $4,000 fellowship. The purpose of the NCECA International Creative Research Fellowship is to provide support for artists who pursue opportunities to create, experience, and/or research artwork while immersed in cultures outside of their native or residential home base.
